Mother’s Router Shaper Table

One of the easiest router tables builds is this one. This project requires building the table from scratch but this won’t be a problem because this router table plan teaches you how step by step. The table is tall as it is wide, wider than its length.

The router tip is seen again in the middle of the table but the fence for this design is too narrow. Possibly this table is meant for wider workpieces because of its unique dimensions. There is barely room for the fence to move back for this design as well.

The feet for this table is quite unique as well. All fours on each corner, truly this table can hold a very heavy workpiece as well as a heavy router. You must have a large working space to place this huge router table though.

42) A Simple Router Table

The design you wish to achieve is saved in a special program that translates your design into a command that the router understands. Everything from the depth, the speed of the router and other important parameters may be adjusted. The router can work with workpieces of different sizes, widths and also with different materials.

Aside from woodworking skills, you need to understand the programming command used to operate the router. This router table looks like a wood stove because of its size. This is a standard table top and router cabinet that has a spacious working space on top and plenty of storage space at the bottom.

The top is very spacious with a very large fence and an extra-large dust port to remove dust and dirt from the workpiece. The fence can be adjusted, moved backward or forwards according to the size of the workpiece you are working on.

The router body is braced at the bottom of the router table and can be easily accessed from a large door opening in front of the cabinet. This large space can hold even your shop vac. The different drawers and cabinets can hold accessories and tools of all shapes and sizes. Even small accessories and parts are kept safe inside the drawers.

48) The Thinking Wood Router Table Plans

The Thinking Wood Router Table Plans

This is a router table built over a large table and as you can see, this set up is more than just a router table. This table also works as a table saw while the router sits at the back. This kind of design is a space-saving workbench table design that will let you save space especially if you only have a small working area or shop.

Now the router table in this design has the standard router tip found in the middle of the table. The tip fits securely in a portion in the middle of the fence. This is also where the shop vac attachment is placed to remove dirt and dust as a workpiece is being routed.

This plan can be used as an inspiration when making versatile router table tops. For the table legs, you may either construct table legs to hold the heavy router and circular saw tools or you can use a reclaimed table or cabinet to hold everything instead. As always make sure that you are using a strong table, desk or cabinet because not only will it hold the table top but also the weight of the tools and workpiece.
